Housecleaning the Blog

I'm straightening out a few things on the page here.

For starters, I'm separating the Links for my Librarian career interests into one column, and my Writers Links - to fellow writers, to NaNo, and to some of my books on the marketplace - into another column.

That means if anyone has any suggested links for Librarianship, please suggest. If any of my fellow writers have a blog or page to promote, please promote.

I'd also like to encourage the seven people who follow this blog - Hi! - to pass the word about my works, if you know people who like to read superhero stories, or humor stories, or fantasy/scifi/horror to please let them have a look at my stories and if they are interested in shopping. Thanks.

Other Writing Projects Of Note: For Florida Writers

As a member of the Florida Writer's Association, I want to contribute more to that organization in the way of submitting work to them. Either for their Awards categories or for their Annual Collection.

They host a themed anthology every year, for which they select 60 submissions as part of the publication. It's a nice thing to be a part of, and it helps get your presence known among the state's writers and agents.

They're going to start taking submissions this February 1st. I'm going to keep an eye on it and see what the theme is, and write accordingly. See how it goes.

And Now Blog Traffic from Russia is Going Through the Roof

For some reason, traffic from Russia is spiking for BOTH my librarian/writing blog here, as well as my political blog across the way.

I've had this happen before, with the French bumping my site with traffic for some reason last August. It's just never happened this much, going into the 1000s range on Notice A Trend just now.

All I can say it, yo RUSSIA! If you're abusing my pages for some kind of hacking or spying project, just don't. I don't need the hassles right now. The last thing I want is the FBI cyber people knocking at my door asking if I know anybody by the name of Katalyna Hotstotrockzy, 'cause I don't.

If you Russians wanna be anywhere near nice about what you're doing, just buy my books. I need the dues.

Librarian Plans for 2016

There's always the Florida Library Association conference, although this year it's in early March because the AMERICAN LIBRARY ASSOCIATION is meeting in Orlando this summer.

So, yeah, I got choices.

I kinda need to go to both.

Writing Plans for 2016... Wait, I Already Wrote This!

Freaking re-runs!!!

ANYWAY.

Writing projects listed in order of priority:

1) Short story for the Writers Group anthology planned for 2016.

On an aside note, there are plans to get the first anthology Stories for All Seasons done as a print book. So keep an eye out for that.

2) The NaNo 2015 winner rough draft Subway Night. Getting that done for editing/submission to ebook print.

3) Attempt to edit articles from my political blog into a non-fiction book.

I'm trying not to jump ahead into too many other writing projects for now. There are some ideas for my Talents superhero 'verse but I really need to avoid spreading myself out too thin.

I should also note I'll be goofing around at the Florida Library Association convention this year as always, and may even make an attempt to visit the American Library Association in Orlando this summer.

Unfortunately, I may have to miss going to any comic-cons this year. My budget's not looking good at the moment.

Anyway, HAPPY NEW YEAR.
